The countries in the red category are Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Egypt, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Monaco, Norway, Portugal, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States. Not all nationalities worldwide have the green light to visit Cyprus, but they can show some documents proving their current status with respect to Covid-19.To apply for a Cyprus Flight Pass you will only need your passport to include your personal details in the application form. Although we would love to say that everyone is invited to the Cyprus holiday, there are still some limitations before the full normality and fluidity of tourists is reached. North Cyprus is on the amber list if you arrive and depart via South Cyprus, while if you fly via Turkey you will be considered to have travelled via Turkey, which is on the red list.
While the world continues to experience a pandemic, some countries, such as Cyprus, are reopening their borders. All foreigners travelling to Cyprus from a Category A, B or C country must present their Cyprus Flight Pass before boarding their flight. While Category C must present the Cyprus Flight Pass, negative COVID results, perhaps a random molecular test, and need to be quarantined for 14 days. This means that unvaccinated passengers making a return trip from the UK to Cyprus must fork out the money for five tests in total: two on the outward journey and three on the return.
Category A countries only have to present their Cyprus flight card, while other countries must have a certificate of testing done 72 hours before departure and show negative Covid-19 results. Following an increase in coronavirus cases, the UK has been placed on Cyprus' red list for travel, with effect from 8 July. Countries not listed in the green, orange and red categories are considered grey category.
